Artemisa

ARTEMISA is a collaborative initiative that brings together leading institutions with a shared goal: to develop a new generation of technological solutions for the personalized treatment of cardiac arrhythmias.

The project aims to develop the first integrated endo-epicardial mapping system, combining innovative technology, artificial intelligence, and next-generation hardware to enable more precise, safer, and patient-specific ablation procedures.

The consortium is composed of:
• Corify Care
• Universitat Politècnica de València (UPV)
• Universidad Pública de Navarra (UPNA)
• Mondragon Components Competence Center (MC3)
• EMBEGA S. Coop
• Fundación para la Investigación Biomédica del Hospital Gregorio Marañón (FIBHGM)

Technological Development

Together, the partners will develop:
• High-fidelity hardware and sensors capable of adapting in real time to the patient’s anatomy.
• Artificial intelligence–based software for three-dimensional reconstruction of cardiac activity through digital twins.
• A clinically validated system capable of more accurately identifying arrhythmogenic foci and improving real-time therapeutic decision-making.

Impact

The technology developed within ARTEMISA has the potential to transform the treatment of cardiac arrhythmias by improving clinical outcomes, reducing the need for repeat interventions, and positioning the consortium members as international leaders in precision cardiology.

At MC3, we contribute to the project through our expertise in advanced technological development, system integration, and validation of innovative solutions in highly demanding environments.

Funding

The project is funded by the Ministerio de Ciencia, Innovación y Universidades (MCIN) and the Agencia Estatal de Investigación (AEI), and co-funded by the European Union under the corresponding program (Grant Agreement No. CPP2024-011368).
